Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a capable professional to join the Managed Services team. You will operate the service platform, collaborate with internal teams, and troubleshoot complex issues while building scalable tooling.

With 4+ years in networking, OS support, and virtualization, you will contribute to cloud adoption, automation, and customer-facing incidents at scale in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of network and operating system support experience.
• 4+ years of virtualization, orchestration and cloud computing experience (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen).

Responsibilities

• Operate the Managed Service platform and collaborate with internal service teams to meet customers' infrastructure and application deployment needs.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, reproduce customer issues, and build proof of concept environments following cloud best practices.
• Collaborate and help build utilities and tools for internal use enabling safe, high-speed, large-scale operations.
• Identify and drive improvements to technical processes.
• Act as an escalation point and mentor to less experienced engineers on the team and across Amazon.
• Provide the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams.
• Drive customer communication during critical events.
• Learn and leverage groundbreaking technologies.
