Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer with a focus on system integration to design, deploy, and scale the networks that support AWS data centers globally. You will work on core networking to balance efficiency, performance and reliability, and you will build scalable testing infrastructure for optical interconnects and product deployment.

This role requires 1+ years SQL, scripting in Python/Java/Bash, and a strong understanding of data center networks and optical transceivers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of SQL experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of optical transceivers and data center networks.
• 2+ years of scripting and test automation using Python, Java, Bash, Perl, etc.
• 2+ years of cleaning, validating, and developing metrics for monitoring and alarming on fleet data.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated tools and standardized processes for high-volume optical transceiver system level testing.
• Lead collaborative efforts with internal stakeholders and supplier partners to establish robust testing frameworks and QA procedures for optical modules.
• Work with network operations team in identifying operation issues and improving quality and RMA process.
• Engage stakeholders to identify areas of improvements during rack deployment or bring-up.
• Work with network operations team to improve link error handling efficiency.
