Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
8+ years of work experience in optical communication systems or components.
8+ years with optical transceivers, IEEE standards and optical transceiver MSAs.
4+ years developing test scripts for optics validation and characterization.
2+ years working with optical and networking merchant silicon suppliers, manufacturing processes, and qualifications.
1+ years of professional development experience with Python or similar scripting language.

Responsibilities

Review/contribute to product designs and technology roadmaps.
Drive product development activities with customers and peers, act as a key influencer.
Troubleshoot complex problems and propose innovative network solutions with significant impact.
Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new hardware/software features and create implementation plans.
Automate optical test plans and qualify optical modules.
Develop test plans for Optical Modules with vendors/partners.
Work with network operations to identify issues and improve quality and processes.
