Job summary

Cisco’s Secure Common Services Platform Engineering team in the United States is seeking engineers to design and build core cloud-native components, leveraging Golang, Terraform, and serverless AWS services. You will partner with product management, deliver end-to-end functionality, and mentor teammates while tackling distributed-systems challenges in a multi-tenant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience in enterprise software.
• 3+ years building cloud-native web apps and microservices (Golang, Terraform, AWS Lambda, AppSync).
• 3+ years using PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• 1+ year building event-driven systems with Kafka, SQS, or SNS.
• Experience with AI/ML tools/APIs to support development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core components of the Common Services Platform and/or Solutions for scalable cloud-native deployments.
• Partner with Product Management to understand requirements and contribute to sprint planning.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end functionality and align on integration points.
• Develop POCs and prototypes to validate technical approaches and test performance.
• Mentor peers and interns, sharing best practices and supporting growth.
• Contribute to system design to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
