Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior System Administrator to design and implement secure, end-to-end lifecycles in cloud environments.

You will lead containerization efforts with Kubernetes or Docker, and build CI/CD pipelines following GitOps principles to automate software delivery. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve security, scalability, and operational efficiency while adhering to Space Force and DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator/DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage Gravity DevSecOps Pipeline infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, cloud).
• Oversee configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting of pipeline components.
• Implement and manage containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization.
• Ensure scalability and reliability of infrastructure.
• Automate deployment and operations with IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps for secure integration of new components.
• Optimize CI/CD workflows for speed, reliability, and security.
• Maintain security of pipeline infrastructure and enforce DevSecOps practices.
• Apply patches, updates, and security controls per Space Force/DoD standards.
• Ensure compliance with STIGs and government regulations.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and audits with security teams.
• Develop and maintain monitoring for system performance, availability, security.
• Respond to outages and performance issues with快速 resolution.
• Establish disaster recovery and backup procedures.
