Job summary

CGL is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to partner with teams, translate system requirements, and architect scalable cloud solutions. You will plan, maintain, and upgrade complex multi-tier environments, providing expert guidance and leadership across the cloud infrastructure lifecycle.

The role emphasizes security, performance, reliability, and collaboration with developers and operations to deliver effective technology outcomes in a hybrid Canadian setting.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of technical experience in progressively complex environments.
• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Led multiple complex resilient technical solutions focused on security, performance and reliability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with business partners for solution identification.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee infrastructure, performance, capacity, security, and integration with environments and applications.
• Collaborate with development and architecture teams to identify performance and service impacts.
• Coordinate and manage complex technical incidents across production and test environments.
• Document processes and solutions; contribute to knowledge transfer across teams.
• Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of complex technologies, including outsourced components.
• Assess risks and design technology solutions that improve efficiency, reliability and performance.
• Lead large and complex projects with detailed work plans and time estimates.
• Mentor peers and partners on new processes, technologies, and standards.
