Job summary

Blue J is expanding its Infrastructure team to support secure, scalable cloud platforms for a leading AI-powered tax solution. The Senior Infrastructure Developer will own design, automation, monitoring, and reliability across AWS and GCP, using IaC, Kubernetes, and CI/CD to enable fast, secure deployments.

You’ll collaborate with engineers to strengthen security, improve data pipelines, and build self-service capabilities while working in a hybrid setup with Toronto/Kitchener-Waterloo meetings

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure via IaC
• Terraform or similar tool such as Pulumi
• Use of a programming language such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Go, etc
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes
• Deep understanding of Linux
• Security or Performance engineering experience is an asset
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient Cloud Infrastructure
• Production and development Infrastructure management and automation
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system visibility and performance
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline CI/CD processes and deployments
• Assist in designing and implementing data pipelines
• Proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to prevent escalation and ensuring smooth operations
• Participating in on-call processes
