Job summary

GEI Consultants in Wakefield, MA is seeking an IT Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions. You will lead migrations, set security standards, and collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure reliable, cost-efficient services.

The role requires 8+ years in IT architecture with cloud focus, strong knowledge of Azure/AWS/GCP, and IaC experience. Excellent communication and leadership are essential. Some travel and outside-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience in IT architecture with a cloud focus.
• Proven expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with IaC tools and DevOps practices.
• Certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect cloud-based solutions across Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Lead cloud migration projects: assessment, planning, execution, optimization.
• Develop and enforce cloud security standards and governance.
• Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and development teams for integration and deployment.
• Monitor cloud environments, identify risks, and improve performance and cost efficiency.
• Provide mentorship to junior architects and IT staff.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and best practices.
• Document architectures and procedures for reference and compliance.
