Job summary

CGS Contact Government Services seeks a Cloud Systems Architect to design and oversee cloud infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid environments. The role emphasizes advising customers on cloud management strategies, ensuring security, and aligning workloads with scalable architectures using AWS and Azure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud migration, strong programming skills, and the ability to collaborate with IT Security and development teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with and a complete understanding of cloud computing technologies.
• Experience with migrating applications to the cloud.
• Ability to build relationships between customers and team members.
• Ability to integrate services and tools across networks and data processing.
• Knowledge to implement security information and event management to protect assets.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud providers.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, PHP, Java, Node, Ruby on Rails).
• Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
• Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and parameters for hardware/software compatibility and security.
• Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system; analyzes and resolves deficiencies.
• Develops and recommends corrective actions.
• May provide technical guidance for database admins and software developers.
• Advise customers on cloud management strategies leveraging cloud computing benefits.
• Collaborate with IT Security to manage cloud systems security.
• Engineer on customer premise applications and systems interconnected to cloud resources.
