Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role offers on-site work at Schriever AFB, CO or Redstone Arsenal, AL, and requires cloud migration experience across private, public, and hybrid environments.

You will design and implement cloud solutions, ensure security and compliance, enable fault tolerance and disaster recovery, automate infrastructure, and collaborate with stakeholders to plan growth and deliver

Qualifications

• Must understand cloud delivery models (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS).
• Experience with enterprise server operating systems (RHEL 7/8; Windows Server 2019+).
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification and DoW Secret clearance required.
• 1+ years of directly related cloud infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Migrate functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid clouds.
• Design and implement client-specific cloud solutions.
• Identify appropriate cloud providers.
• Ensure cloud network is properly sized and responsive to demand.
• Scale cloud services to support growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine growth plans.
• Monitor cloud usage and implement security strategies.
• Implement fault tolerance, disaster recovery and failover.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
• Build infrastructure automation for rapid updates.
• Test and fine-tune for optimal efficiency.
• Provide architectural vision, strategy and roadmap.
