Job summary

INNOVIM is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role will be on-site at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Relocation is not provided and remote work is not available.

DoD Secret clearance is required. The engineer will migrate and optimize cloud solutions across private, public, and hybrid environments, ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency while aligning with program

Qualifications

• 1+ year of directly related experience in cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with IAAS/SAAS/PAAS delivery models.
• Hands-on with enterprise server OS environments (RHEL/Windows).
• Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices required.
• Active DoW Secret clearance and DoD 8570.01 IAT II certification required.

INNOVIM is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for
Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

The candidate will:

• Specialize in migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures. In doing so, will give organizations and business partners the freedom and flexibility to maximize their productivity while achieving additional cost savings to the MDA.
• Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutions
• Identify appropriate cloud providers
• Ensure the cloud network is properly sized and responsive to user demands
• Scale cloud services to serve growing demands
• Liaise with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans
• Monitor usage of cloud network
• Implement effective security strategies on cloud networks
• Implement fault tolerance, disaster recovery and failover capabilities
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines
• Build infrastructure automation to ensure rapid delivery of system and application updates.
• Carry out testing and fine-tuning to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Provide architectural vision, strategy & roadmap and work with Engineers and Platform Operations staff to operationalize technology solutions
• Have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 1, or more, years of directly related experience
• Must understand cloud delivery models (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS)
• Must have experience with enterprise server operating systems/environments (i.e. RHEL 7 and/or 8; Windows Server 2019 and/or higher)
• Must have experience with implementing Cybersecurity best practices
• Must have DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification
• Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• AZURE, AWS, and/or Cloud Certified Solution Architect Certification
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math

This position is expected to pay $110,000 - $140,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
