Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Technician in Chantilly, VA to help maintain the heartbeat of our global cloud infrastructure. You will perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, diagnose network issues, respond to incidents, and participate in on-call rotations to keep AWS services online.

You will work with a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, travel between data center sites as needed, and support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Able to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call duties and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to documentation and onboarding of new teammates.
