Job summary

Chime is seeking a highly capable Infrastructure Engineer on the Core Infrastructure team to automate scaling, monitoring, and operations of our cloud systems. You will build self-service tooling and contribute to the design and support of Chime's infrastructure using automation and IaC.

With 2+ years in cloud/infrastructure and strong Ruby on Rails and Go Lang skills, you will partner with engineers to implement scalable, secure services and promote reliable patterns like 12 Factor.

Qualifications

• More than 2 years of cloud and infrastructure experience.
• Strong development experience in Ruby on Rails and Go Lang.
• Experience managing Kubernetes clusters cloud hosted or self hosted.
• Experience building highly available public cloud infrastructure with emphasis on stability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Automate scaling, monitoring, and operations across the infrastructure.
• Build self-service tooling for the team and across Chime engineering (Ruby on Rails and Go Lang).
• Design, build, and support Chime's cloud infrastructure using automation and IaC.
• Adopt new technologies to improve efficiency and reliability of Chime's systems.
• Partner with product engineers to design services following modern patterns (e.g., 12 Factor App).
• Develop strong relationships with engineers, managers, and colleagues based on trust and technical expertise.
• Advocate for AI tool adoption and safe, reliable agentic AI workflows.
