Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer focused on system integration to build, deploy, and scale AWS networks across global data centers.

You will design and support scalable testing infrastructure for optical interconnects and build pipelines that meet business needs. You will collaborate with business owners and tech leaders to gather infrastructure requirements, develop software infrastructure, and deliver reliable, cost-efficient

Qualifications

• 1+ years of SQL experience
• Basic understanding of optical transceivers and data center networks
• 2+ years of scripting and test automation using Python, Java, Bash, Perl
• 2+ years of cleaning, validating, and developing metrics for monitoring and alarming on fleet data
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Develop automated tools and standardized processes for high-volume optical transceiver system level testing
• Lead collaborative efforts with internal stakeholders and supplier partners to establish robust testing frameworks and quality assurance procedures for optical modules
• Work with network operations team in identifying operation issues and improving quality and RMA process
• Engage stakeholders to identify areas of improvements during rack deployment or bring-up
• Work with network operations team to improve link error handling efficiency
