Job summary

Peek IT Services is seeking a FinOps professional to own cloud cost forecasting and spend tracking across AWS, Azure, and GCP for a 12+ month hybrid contract based in Charlotte, NC and St. Louis, MO.

You will develop executive-ready reporting and defend assumptions with senior stakeholders to drive optimization and savings. Responsibilities include building forecasts, tracking variances, maintaining cost visibility, and coordinating with cloud build and FinOps teams to ensure reconciled

Qualifications

• Hands-on FinOps or cloud financial mgmt in a multi-cloud.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization across providers.
• Strong forecasting and variance analysis skills.
• Ability to present to senior technical and finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain monthly and quarterly cloud spend forecasts for all in-scope AWS, Azure and GCP accounts.
• Track actual spend against forecast and budget, identify variances early, and explain drivers in business terms.
• Maintain cost visibility at the account, service, environment and application level, including tagging and allocation hygiene.
• Flag anomalies and unexpected growth, and drive them to resolution with owning teams.
• Partner with the cloud build team so planned workload changes are reflected in the forecast before they hit the bill.
• Coordinate with the SDIT FinOps team to keep reporting reconciled and align forecasts with budgeting cycles.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc summaries for executive consumption, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Identify and quantify savings across Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, rightsizing, and licensing positioning, then track realized savings.
