Empower Retirement, LLC is seeking a lead analyst for Cloud Financial Operations to optimize cloud spend and provide visibility into budgets and forecasts. You will partner across technology, procurement, and finance to validate data and guide cost decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in finance or IT.
• 5+ years Cloud FinOps or financial management of cloud environments.
• Strong Excel skills to model and reconcile financial data.
• Experience managing budgets, expenses, forecasts, and contracts.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud cost management tooling.
• Analytical thinker who combines data from multiple sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial reporting for enterprise data platforms, including budgets, expenses, forecasts, run rates, and other key cost metrics.
• Build and maintain an inventory of platform expenses, cloud consumption, contracts, licenses, and renewals.
• Analyze actual spending vs. budget, identify variances and trends, provide insights.
• Monitor cloud costs with a focus on AWS; identify efficiency opportunities.
• Consolidate financial and usage information from multiple teams and vendors.
• Partner with technology leaders, procurement, and finance to validate data and drive decisions.
• Develop spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, and models for leadership.
• Support contract and license planning with renewal dates and utilization.
• Expand reporting to additional data environments as needed.
