Empower is seeking a Lead Analyst, Cloud Financial Operations to drive visibility into cloud spend and budgeting for enterprise data platforms. You will partner with platform leaders, procurement, finance, and IT to optimize costs while supporting strategic decision-making.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in cloud financial operations, strong Excel modeling skills, and experience with AWS/Azure cost management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years Cloud FinOps or cloud financial management experience.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and run rates.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms and cost reporting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage financial reporting for data platforms: budgets, expenses, forecasts, run rates.
• Inventory platform expenses, cloud usage, contracts, and renewals.
• Analyze spending against budgets and identify cost drivers.
• Monitor AWS costs and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Consolidate information from multiple teams to create a complete cost view.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate data and support decisions.
• Develop dashboards and financial models for leadership.
• Support contract and license planning and renewal tracking.
• Recommend improvements to cost controls and budgeting processes.
• Expand reporting to additional environments as needed.
