Job summary

Core Interface is seeking a Cloud Engineer with TS/SCI and polygraph to design and implement cloud-native architectures in government cloud environments. You will own the infrastructure layer, drive secure, auditable deployments, and collaborate with data and backend teams.

Responsibilities include building IaC pipelines, enforcing cloud security best practices, monitoring health, and maintaining runbooks while documenting architecture and configurations for effective incident response.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or equivalent accredited government cloud.
• Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes and/or Docker.
• Strong cloud security fundamentals: IAM, VPC, encryption, and secrets management.
• Software development fundamentals in Python and/or Java; RESTful API experience.
• Clear communication in collaborative engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code configurations for auditable deployments.
• Define and enforce cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, VPC, and least-privilege access.
• Collaborate with data and backend teams to integrate cloud services end-to-end.
• Monitor system health, optimize cost and performance, and support incident response.
• Maintain clear documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and runbooks.
