Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a technical writer to develop and maintain cloud documentation, process flows, and test plans. You will gather requirements, design process flows for cloud services, and drive cost-management documentation for AWS, Azure, and GCP.

You will also create training materials, ensure security/compliance, and coordinate with engineering to improve cloud operations and automation. Candidates with security clearance and Confluence/Jira experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing technical documentation
• 3+ years of experience defining process flows, process diagrams, and process documentation
• 3+ years of experience creating and documenting test plans/procedures, executing tests, analyzing results, and/or creating test reports
• 3+ years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle
• 1+ years of experience with cloud-hosted platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person
• Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
• Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
• Post-offer drug testing may apply
• Preferred: Azure cloud certifications
• Preferred: Experience utilizing Confluence and Jira
• Preferred: Experience automating test cases with test framework tools
• Preferred: Experience in pro-con analysis in COTS solutions
• Preferred: Experience identifying quality control issues in documentation

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
• Create process flows, business requirements, functional specifications, and user guides for cloud-based systems
• Gather, analyze, and validate business and technical requirements related to cloud infrastructure and cost management
• Design and document process flows for cloud service management, price tracking, and operational improvements
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and automated testing scripts
• Identify and implement process improvements in cloud operations and price tracking
• Facilitate communication between business units and engineering teams
• Define sequence of events, gap analysis, relationships, and dependency mapping
• Track and report project progress, risks, and issues related to requirements, testing, cloud cost optimization, and price tracking
• Promote best practices in documentation, requirements management, testing methodologies, and cloud cost governance
• Support evaluation and integration of COTS cloud tools and platforms
• Develop training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions
• Assist in enforcing security, compliance, and cost management policies
• Support testing and execution of automated scripts across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Provide recommendations to improve cloud performance, efficiency, and automation
• Deliver responsive, high-quality customer support
