Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior cloud leader to guide a team of cloud engineers in designing secure, scalable architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will drive migration, optimization, and modernization initiatives while enforcing governance and cost controls.

You will oversee automation, monitoring, and incident response, collaborating with DevOps, development, and security teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions and strategic improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years in cloud engineering, architecture, or infra roles.
• At least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP, incl. architecture, deployment, and operations.
• Proven automation, scripting, and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Proficiency with monitoring/management tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver).
• Strong cloud security, compliance, and data protection knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; exceptional leadership.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to manage multiple projects.
• Cloud certifications desired (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no sponsorship now or in future.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cloud engineers.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and performance-optimized cloud architectures.
• Develop and execute cloud migration, optimization, and modernization strategies.
• Oversee automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
• Monitor cloud usage and optimize costs through governance and cost-control measures.
• Ensure cloud environments meet security standards and compliance requirements.
• Lead incident response for cloud-related issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps, software development, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions for cloud performance and health.
• Provide leadership updates on cloud performance, incidents, cost management, and strategic initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
