Job summary

Leidos is seeking a cloud-focused DevSecOps engineer to design, build, and sustain secure cloud-native systems across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. You will contribute to cyber-resilient solutions, supporting USAF mission requirements with modern DevSecOps practices.

You will implement secure CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and container orchestration while collaborating with developers, security, and operations teams to ensure scalable, compliant deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 2-6 years.
• Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II).
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience supporting or administering cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, Java, Go).
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and version control (Git).
• Strong collaboration, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems requirements analysis for cloud-based and hybrid environments.
• Design, implement, and support secure CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines across Azure cloud platforms.
• Develop, maintain, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Deploy, configure, integrate, and support applications in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Assist with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift configuration and sustainment.
• Analyze system availability, scalability, performance, and resiliency across distributed systems.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives, system upgrades, and continuous improvement.
• Implement and support automated security capabilities including vulnerability scanning and compliance automation.
• Monitor system health using logging and monitoring tools; assist incident troubleshooting and RCA.
• Support verification, validation, and QA activities for cloud-based solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence solution design and approaches.
• Apply DevSecOps standards and best practices.
