Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to deploy, maintain, and scale hybrid cloud infrastructure for Air Force customers in Omaha, NE. The role emphasizes DevSecOps, Everything-as-Code, and on-call support for critical missions.

You will design and operate Azure-based architectures, automate with Terraform and Ansible, manage containers with Docker and Kubernetes, and ensure security/compliance across environments for rapid, reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a US security clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred).
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or Master's with 2+ years.
• DoD 8140/IAT level certifications or equivalent required.
• Azure Administrator/architect-level certifications preferred.
• Hands-on experience with VMware/Hyper-V/OpenStack virtualization.
• Proficiency in AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform/Ansible required.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructures in Azure (IaaS & PaaS).
• Automate deployments using IaC and configuration-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM/BICEP).
• Provision and scale resources in Azure in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor usage for cost efficiency and scalability, and perform root-cause analyses.
• Ensure security, compliance, and DevSecOps practices across all environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation into lifecycle.
• Implement containerization/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes for microservices.
• Configure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and manage incident response.
• Maintain network security (IAM, VPCs, VPNs, firewalls) and encryption practices.
• Assist audits (RMF, NIST, ISO 27001) and provide Tier-2/3 support.
• Document procedures and configurations for knowledge sharing.
