Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a backend engineer to create scalable, reliable systems in a Java/Spring Boot environment. You will design and maintain RESTful services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize performance in cloud and on-prem deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of software development experience.
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or commensurate experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, GoLang, and Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with databases such as Mongo, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and debugging practices.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, and IAM.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform/Terragrunt.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture.
• Full Stack Development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create scalable, reliable backend systems.
