Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer in San Diego to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native solutions using the .NET stack and AWS services. You will own end-to-end design, ensure code quality, and drive sprint execution while collaborating across architecture, product, and data teams.

The role focuses on scalable, high-performance backend services, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented architectures with emphasis on platform modernization and strong SDLC governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and implementing complex systems using the .NET technology stack and web services.
• Experience with .NET, C#, JavaScript, CSS3, Angular, JSON, REST services, SQL Server, and Node.js development.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server, including stored procedures, views, indexes, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing and maintaining unit tests.

• Design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions aligned with business requirements and strategic objectives.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS services and best practices.
• Partner with architecture, product, data, and business stakeholders to support platform modernization initiatives.
• Own end-to-end solution design, implementation, code quality, and sprint execution activities.
• Collaborate with peer engineering teams and support organizations to ensure successful production deployments.
• Work closely with quality assurance and DevOps teams to ensure compliance with SDLC and release management processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience designing and implementing complex systems using the .NET technology stack and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with .NET, C#, JavaScript, CSS3, Angular, JSON, REST services, SQL Server, and Node.js development.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server, including stored procedures, views, indexes, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing and maintaining unit tests.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in software engineering environments.
• Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), code architecture patterns, and software design principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with .NET Framework 4.8.
• Hands-on experience integrating multiple application platforms using C#, .NET, and AWS.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful backend services.
