Job summary

Glean is seeking a Cloud Deployment Software Engineer to join our Platform Infrastructure team. This role focuses on customer setup and deployment in complex cloud environments, offering backend work with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure, IaC, and secure deployments.

You will build systems for bootstrapping cloud accounts, wire authentication, and make deployment workflows repeatable for customers, collaborating across Platform, Security, and Product teams to improve speed and safety of

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in platform, infrastructure, or cloud-focused roles.
• Solid backend engineering fundamentals and ability to work across infrastructure-heavy systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure in AWS, GCP.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve systems that automate customer setup and deployment across cloud environments.
• Develop deployment workflows and infrastructure as code templates that mirror customer environments.
• Improve support for complex deployment scenarios including BYO-VPC, customer-managed keys, airgapped environments, and custom-region deployments.
• Work on cloud account and project bootstrapping, authentication wiring, proxy and private networking, and deployment orchestration.
• Partner closely with Platform, Security, Product, and customer-facing teams to make deployments faster, safer, and easier to operate.
• Raise the quality, reliability, and coverage of our AWS and GCP deployment tooling over time.
