Job summary

Glean is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Platform Infrastructure team. This role focuses on customer setup and deployment across cloud environments, including complex security and hosting scenarios.

You'll help bootstrap cloud accounts and projects, wire authentication, and turn deployment workflows into reliable, productized experiences. This position suits engineers who enjoy cloud infrastructure, networking, and infrastructure as code, with opportunities to shape deployment tooling

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in platform or cloud roles.
• Strong backend fundamentals and experience with infrastructure-heavy systems.
• Hands-on cloud experience in AWS and GCP.
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Strong networking knowledge: VPCs, subnets, routing, proxies, private connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve systems that automate customer setup and deployment across cloud environments.
• Develop deployment workflows and IaC templates that mirror customer environments and reduce manual setup.
• Improve support for BYO-VPC, customer-managed keys, airgapped environments, and custom-region deployments.
• Work on cloud account bootstrapping, authentication wiring, proxy, and private networking.
• Collaborate with Platform, Security, Product, and customer-facing teams to accelerate deployments.
• Raise the quality, reliability, and coverage of our AWS and GCP deployment tooling over time.
