Recruiting from Scratch LLC is seeking a Software Engineer, Infrastructure in San Francisco to design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure for a large enterprise platform. You will own critical components, improve reliability, and work directly with leadership and customers.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in software engineering, strong distributed systems experience, and hands-on cloud infrastructure skills (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes). This is a hybrid role with visa transfer support.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building distributed systems and infrastructure via software.
• Designing and operating reliable production systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure at meaningful scale.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Strong production reliability and scalability understanding.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis; Kafka is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reliable infrastructure for a large-scale enterprise platform.
• Own critical infrastructure components from architecture through production.
• Improve system stability, security, performance, and reliability.
• Advise on architecture and best practices across infrastructure.
• Partner with product engineers to remove bottlenecks and accelerate delivery.
