Job summary

Collective is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Infrastructure team in San Francisco. You will own AWS/GCP foundations, CI/CD, IaC, observability, and security across the platform, partnering with product engineering to unblock shipping and with security to maintain safety.

You will drive reliability, mentor teams, and push for scalable, automated infrastructure while leveraging AI tooling to accelerate safe, high-quality work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps or SRE.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and drive to production.
• Proficient in multi-cloud (AWS; GCP a plus) and IaC with Terraform.
• Strong software development skills (Python or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own the CI/CD system engineering and drive reliability improvements.
• Embed security by design and least privilege in infrastructure.
• Build scalable, cost-effective cloud platforms and disaster recovery plans.
• Mentor engineers and lead infra initiatives to completion.
• Develop automation and tooling to reduce toil and accelerate work.
