Job summary

Banc of California is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to build and operate a modern cloud data platform using Azure, Snowflake, and dbt. You’ll develop ingestion pipelines, optimize performance, and support CI/CD with DevOps tools. Collaboration with Analytics and BI teams will drive trusted data for reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.

The role emphasizes cloud experience, automation, and adherence to SOX controls while supporting enterprise data governance and platform resilience.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in data engineering, data platform engineering, cloud engineering, or similar.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure services (ADF, ADLS Gen2, Synapse).
• Experience with Snowflake and dbt for data transformation.
• Strong SQL development, troubleshooting, and optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and enhance Banc of California’s cloud data platform on Azure and Snowflake.
• Develop ingestion pipelines from source systems to Snowflake Raw layer and optimize performance.
• Support CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Git, and DataOps practices.
• Provide Tier 2 production support and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Collaborate with BI, Analytics, and business stakeholders to enable trusted data.
