Job summary

GRVTY seeks a Database Engineer for one of our top projects in Annapolis Junction, MD. The DBE provides technical expertise in database design, development, and data retrieval, focusing on Oracle technologies and cloud methodologies.

The role requires Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance and extensive Oracle experience, with a decade of DBE work. You will lead database structures within the system architecture and craft ad hoc queries to support data needs across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
• Extensive Oracle Database patching, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard on Linux.
• Ten years of DBE experience; Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (5 years may substitute).
• Support database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis.
• Assist in developing databases, database parser software, and loading software.
• Translate requirements into a usable database schema via ad hoc queries, scripts, macros.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement database systems and data retrieval processes.
• Lead development of database structures to fit the system architecture.
• Create and update ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros; manipulate data for master files.
• Guide data security, retention policies, and cloud-based storage solutions.
• Collaborate across IT to translate business requirements into database design.
