Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Avondale, AZ is hiring for a Data Center Technician to maintain server hardware, diagnose network issues, and support 24/7 operations across AWS data centers.

You will participate in on-call rotations, assist with maintenance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability of services. The role requires travel to active data center locations, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on components, troubleshoot network issues, respond to incidents affecting service availability, and perform routine repairs.
• Serve as primary contact point for internal/external stakeholders including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on issue analysis.
• Help interview, train and onboard new team members.
