Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. – AWS Data Center Technician in Avondale, AZ, performing server hardware diagnostics, rack installations, and routine network repairs to keep AWS services available.

You will join a diverse team of engineers, work in an industrial environment, and participate in an on-call rotation with travel between data centers as needed. The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds and shift work including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Maintain service availability across AWS services.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with on-call duties and maintenance activities.
