Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer in Culpeper, VA to help build and scale our next-generation networks across data centers. You will work with internal teams and vendors to ensure reliable, secure connectivity and to automate standard processes.

The role requires strong documentation, detail orientation, and experience with large-scale enterprise networks. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required for this position.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR).
• 3+ years data center engineering or operations experience.
• Strong networking fundamentals experience.
• Current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate project status and blockers to leadership.
• Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
• Manage cabling vendor activities and QA.
• Support network deployment during change windows; assist in migration and rollout of new/updated hardware.
• Complete customer requests via Remedy trouble ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues; deliver scalable solutions and processes.
• Manage work through ticketing and collaborate with stakeholders to remove obstacles.
• Travel up to 40% as required, possibly including international travel.
