Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Center Logistics Manager in Culpeper, VA to oversee multiple spare parts rooms in data centers and drive continuous improvement in inventory and processes. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines to support Operational Excellence.

The candidate must hold a current Top Secret with SCI eligibility and anticipate obtaining TS/SCI clearance with polygraph after start.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience.
• 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
• 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience, or Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop Logistics Specialists utilizing available training programs, informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance based feedback.
• Generate and communicate highly accurate, accessible inventory metrics reporting to Stakeholders
• Develop and implement consistent metrics to gauge employee performance.
• Train hourly associates in required department processes.
• Creatively resolve problems and make department impacting decisions in a highly ambiguous environment
• Run stock level reports and analyze results; optimize on-hand stock levels in effort to decrease cost-to-serve and increase efficiency of stock holdings.
• Set and monitor inventory levels of stock rooms to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities.
• Work closely with the logistics purchasing team to ensure cluster level stock is kept at appropriate levels.
• Design, assess, and implement new strategies and initiatives to continuously exceed Customer expectations.
• Continuous improvement through implementation of LEAN processes
