Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Practice Customer Engineer (Data Analytics) to partner with technical sales and differentiate Google Cloud for complex workloads. You will accelerate technical wins and adoption of analytics-centric solutions at customer sites.

You will design data foundation architectures and MVPs in collaboration with Platform CEs, helping customers solve analytics challenges and influence product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with Big Data technologies (analytics warehousing, data processing, governance, ETL/ELT, SQL, Spark).
• Experience using programming languages (e.g., Python, Spark, SQL) to demo, prototype, or workshop with customers.
• Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support local sales teams in pursuit of key business opportunities, engaging customers on the data lifecycle.
• Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions.
• Lead technical projects, including advocacy, bid responses, product briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinating resources.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform to demonstrate integrations; travel as required.
• Prepare product messaging to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition, using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers and RFI response documents.
