Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to design and manage core cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS and Azure services such as EC2, VPCs, and S3. The role provides Tier 3 support for SITEC 3 EOM mission partners and requires strong problem-solving and collaboration with stakeholders.

You will contribute to system design, governance, and automation using IaC, ensuring secure, highly available, multi-region cloud environments, and ongoing performance improvements.

Qualifications

• DoW 8570 IAT II Certification required.
• DoW 8140 compliant under Work Role Code 451 – System Administrator - Intermediate or higher.
• Minimum of 3+ years of AWS/Azure experience (design, deployment, config, optimization).
• Proven track record managing production Windows Servers and enterprise security.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the AWS & Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
• Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure.
• Analyze existing standards to identify and implement improvements.
• Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling for automated deployments.
• Develop and implement data protection best practices to prevent data loss.
• Support cloud adoption of applications being transformed or modernized.
• Ensure resources meet performance and capacity standards.
• Provide training and mentorship to Cloud Administrators.
• Innovate and implement new technologies to advance mission readiness.
