Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/IT or related field.
• 4–7 years of cloud architecture/engineering experience.
• Hands‑on with Azure core compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of containers: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS.
• Familiarity with cloud security, IAM, and network security controls.
• Understanding of microservices, API gateway patterns, and serverless computing.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• DoD/GovCloud experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architectures across Azure to meet scalability, availability, and security requirements.
• Develop cloud migration strategies and assess on‑prem workloads for cloud readiness.
• Define and enforce cloud standards, patterns, and best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development for CI/CD integration of cloud services.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services to optimize performance and cost.
• Implement IaC solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Ensure environments comply with security frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, FISMA).
• Conduct architecture reviews, POCs, and stakeholder presentations.
• Monitor resource utilization and advise on optimization and performance.
