Job summary

Google Public Sector is seeking an Application Modernization Customer Engineering Specialist to help sales incubate, pilot, and deploy Google Cloud solutions. You will partner with technical sales to differentiate Google Cloud and engage with customers to understand business and technical requirements.

The role includes leading assessments of legacy environments, prototyping workshops, and traveling to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience reading/debugging code and in virtualization/orchestration.
• 5 years troubleshooting and triaging customer issues.
• Experience engaging with technical stakeholders or executives.

Responsibilities

• Assess legacy environments and plan a modernization roadmap for customers.
• Prototype architectures and document requirements with engineering teams.
• Travel to customer sites and advocate for Google Cloud.
• Resolve blockers using coding, debugging, or systems design.
