Job summary

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to UH IT standards. You will deploy and maintain applications in on-prem and cloud environments, implement CI/CD practices, and ensure security controls across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information & Computer Sciences, or related field with 3 years of IT experience in applications development.
• Experience applying enterprise architecture, security, accessibility, and technology standards.
• Strong understanding of IT service management, cybersecurity principles, and risk/compliance.

Responsibilities

• *Analyze business and technical requirements and translate customer needs into system requirements.
• *Collaborate with stakeholders to understand processes, assess feasibility and risk, and propose solutions.
• *Design and document software solutions including APIs, data models, and deployment procedures.
• *Develop and maintain enterprise applications using SQL/PL-SQL and related frameworks.
• *Design secure APIs and data exchanges between University systems and cloud services.
• *Develop modular, well-documented software with secure coding practices.
• *Utilize version control, CI/CD, and automated build processes.
• *Deploy and support applications in on-premises and cloud environments.
• *Automate deployment and configuration with infrastructure-as-code and scripting.
• *Ensure cloud services for compute, storage, databases, messaging, and auth are used securely and efficiently.
• *Follow UH IT architecture, security, governance, and cloud guidelines.
