Job summary

The Husband & Wife Law Team is seeking a hands-on Closing Team Lead in Phoenix. You will support the daily operations of the closing team, coach staff, review quality, and guide workflow efficiency across closing tasks and systems.

You will partner with the Closing Manager to maintain accountability, timeliness, and consistent execution, while fostering a team-first culture and professional development for paralegals and assistants.

Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of legal closing workflows, case management, task management, and quality review practices.
Ability to coach, train, and support team members with patience, consistency, and accountability.
Ability to review DSBs, reduction letters, reports, and time records accurately and provide clear feedback.
Strong organization and follow-through with scheduling, deadlines, escalations, and priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication with confidentiality and escalation.
Familiarity with Outlook, ADP, Timeproof, DOMO, Lawboards, or ability to learn quickly.
Team-first leadership with hands-on support as needed.
Experience in personal injury, legal operations, closing, or high-volume cases preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain daily team presence and confirm priority needs.
Serve as first contact for task questions, CMS issues, and paralegal concerns; escalate to Manager.
Update calendars, notify paralegals, coordinate with Manager.
Review timecards and provide backup for timecard processes.
Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with virtual assistants and review reports.
Lead Outlook training and coordinate with trainers and management.
Deliver in-person training presentations for new hires and participate in interviews.
Review initial DSBs and reduction letters with timely feedback.
Pull weekly Closing SRL reports and assist with month-end review.
Draft and update Closing procedures for management review.
Contribute to bi-monthly team meetings with insights from weekly reviews.
Communicate task completion and escalate as needed.
