Job summary

The Title Company in South Dakota is seeking an entry-level professional for their Closing Department to learn how to coordinate real estate transactions from order receipt through closing.

You will serve as a liaison among buyers, sellers, realtors and lenders, communicate via phone and email, and use industry software to prepare settlement documents under supervision. This role emphasizes excellent service and meticulous paperwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate or Bachelor degree strongly preferred
• Exceptional desire to become a real estate professional in South Dakota
• Prior education or experience in related fields, specifically including real estate, business, law and/or lending, is encouraged but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Customer service focus and attitude
• Computer-based experience with data input and Microsoft Office (or similar products) is necessary

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between buyers, sellers, realtors and lenders to ensure a seamless closing experience
• Effectively communicate via phone and email with all parties and other real estate professionals involved in the transaction
• Utilize industry software to help create settlement statements and other closing documents for review and approval by the parties
• Request and process mortgage payoffs to remove current liens against property involved in the transactions
• Review and comply with lender specific closing instructions, including making sure all necessary documents are signed, dated and notarized as part of the closing
• Receive and disburse all funds associated with the transaction to the appropriate parties
• Provide excellent service to clients and customers
