D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Closing Document Review Specialist to audit mortgage loan closing packages for accuracy and completeness. You will ensure all documents are present, signed, and dated correctly, and you will follow up with parties to resolve any discrepancies.

The role requires attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Experience with MS Office and email is required, and overtime may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Audit closing package to confirm all documents are present, signed and dated.
• Follow up with applicable parties on incorrect or missing documents.
• Communicate with branches and other departments on status of follow up.
• Cure investor/insuring suspense items and coordinate with post-closing/insuring teams.
• Assign final closing documents to the appropriate container in the imaging system.
• Maintain timelines and QC score for post-closing activities.
• Keep comments current regarding follow up documentation and open items.
• Clear all post-closing conditions as applicable.
• Conduct all business professionally to serve customers and increase company goodwill and profit.
• Ability to work overtime.

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Closing Document Review Specialist. The right candidate will be responsible for auditing all mortgage loans assigned in a timely manner. Review all completed and signed closing documents for accuracy and execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Audit closing package to confirm all closing documents are present signed and dated properly
• Follow up with applicable parties on any incorrect or missing documents
• Communicate with branch and other departments on status of follow up
• Cure all investor and insuring suspense items and communicate with post-closing/insuring departments on status
• Assign final closing documents to respective container in document imaging system
• Maintain acceptable timelines and Quality Control (QC) score for post-closing activities
• Maintain outstanding condition pipeline and keep comments current regarding follow up documentation
• Clear all post-closing conditions as applicable
• Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
• Ability to work overtime

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to two years related experience and/or training
• Attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree a plus
• Familiarity with governmental requirements for mortgage loan processes a plus
