Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Closing Document Review Specialist to audit mortgage closing packages for accuracy and timely execution, and to coordinate with branches and other departments on status.

The ideal candidate will have a High school diploma or GED, 1–2 years related experience, excellent verbal and written communication, and proficiency with MS Office and email. This role supports post-closing activities and helps maintain timelines and QC scores.

• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Audit closing package to confirm all closing documents are present signed and dated properly.
• Follow up with applicable parties on any incorrect or missing documents.
• Communicate with branch and other departments on status of follow up.
• Cure all investor and insuring suspense items and communicate with post-closing/insuring departments on status.
• Assign final closing documents to respective container in document imaging system.
• Maintain acceptable timelines and Quality Control (QC) score for post-closing activities.
• Maintain outstanding condition pipeline and keep comments current regarding follow up documentation.
• Clear all post-closing conditions as applicable.
• Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
• Ability to work overtime.
