Job summary

Santander US is seeking an experienced associate to assist with the origination, structuring, and execution of CLO warehouses and CLO transactions. You’ll participate from origination to closing, collaborating with internal teams and external clients in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

The CLO team is part of the Securitized Products Trading Desk, offering opportunities to learn from senior members and expand expertise in CLO modeling and market development in New York.

Qualifications

• Prior CLO structuring/banking experience (strongly preferred) or related role with exposure to CLOs.
• Extensive exposure to CLO documents, Intex, and CLO Rating Agency models.
• Strong quantitative and/or technical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Support the origination, structuring, and execution of CLO warehouses and of CLO new issues, resets, and refinancings.
• Structure and model CLO transactions using Excel, Intex, and Rating Agency software.
• Build and run CLO cash flow models and produce transaction analyses for investor marketing and rating agencies.
• Analyze CLO collateral portfolios and compute key metrics to guide structuring and marketing.
• Prepare materials for warehouse termsheets, internal memos, deal marketing, and pitch books.
• Coordinate timelines and deliverables with CLO managers, legal counsel, syndicate, and rating agencies.
• Monitor CLO warehouse activity including asset approvals, funding, and reconciliations.
• Expand structuring expertise while building market presence and client relationships.
