Job summary

Kids for the Future in Chula Vista, CA is hiring a full-time Clinician I to provide behavioral health services, case management, and counseling. The role includes 40 hours per week with rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) and a schedule of 8:00-16:30 or 8:30-17:00 (or 9 hours/8 hours with occasional Fridays off), dependent on rotation.

Meets the bio-psychosocial needs of clients, develops treatment plans, and links to community resources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Licensed or eligible for California BBS licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with a mental health population.
• Valid California driver’s license and ability to fulfill essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral assessments for clients with a psychosocial rehabilitation focus.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, as well as case management.
• Develop and update individual treatment plans for clients.
• Create discharge plans and link to community services.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Support clients with bio-psychosocial needs and crisis intervention as required.

• Base Pay $37.02 - $37.39 / Hour

Description

Hours: 40 hours per week with work schedule option and rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday)

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pmOR
• Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm (9 hours) and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8 hours), off every other Friday

As a Clinician I, you will :

• Conduct behavioral assessments for clients, utilizing a psychosocial rehabilitation focus and dynamic team-based approach
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, as well as case management
• Develop and update individual treatment service plans for clients
• Create discharge plans and provide linkage to other support services within the community
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
• 19 days of PTO per year; 12 paid holidays per year

Our Intensive Mobile Psychosocial Assertive Community Treatment programs (Downtown IMPACT,IMPACT, Senior IMPACT and South Bay IMPACT) provide intensive, community-based case management services for homeless adults throughout San Diego County. We deliver fully integrated services to clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance disorders.

Our programs utilize the evidence-based practice of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) to support our clients in the higher level of community care and to assist them in reaching their goals and living a life not dominated by mental illness. Our team is a model of care, providing treatment, rehabilitation, and case management supports.

CRF staff members work together to meet the needs of San Diego County's residents who are experiencing mental/behavioral health challenges. Education : Master\'s degree in a mental health-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required

Licensure : Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) required. Candidates who are eligible to submit their BBS application within 60 days of conferred Master\'s degree are encouraged to apply.

Credentialing: If you are applying to this position as a Licensed, Registered, Waivered, or Certified professional and are offered the position, you will be required to complete the credentialing process. Additional information will be provided at the post-offer stage.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
• This program is housed in a two-story building that does have an elevator; however, ability to navigate stairs may be required.
• A valid California driver's license in good standing, personal vehicle, proof of insurance and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position
• Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Summary

Meets the bio-psychosocial needs of clients by providing indicated behavioral health services, case management services and/or crisis intervention, and bills and documents services appropriately. Works with individuals to assist them in accessing appropriate support services and entitlements, medical care, community resources, and family support systems in an effort to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation. Includes rotating weekend and evening hours for field visits as required by contract.
