Job summary

CRF is seeking a Clinician I in El Cajon, CA for full‑time, non‑exempt work in behavioral health. You will conduct initial assessments, provide individual and group services, and help clients set goals. A Master’s degree and BBS licensure eligibility are required; bilingual Arabic is essential.

Hours: 40/wk, Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 8:30–5:00, Wed 10:30–7:00. Base pay $37.02–$37.39/hr plus $2.40/hr bilingual differential.

As a Clinician I, you will:

• Conduct initial behavioral health assessment of new clients and/or returning clients; perform collateral interviews as indicated.
• Provide individual and group psychosocial behavioral health services and activities for clients, including COD clients.
• Assist the client in developing client service plan goals, prioritizing areas of need, and steps needed to reach goals established, as well as identify areas of strength.
• Continually monitor progress towards goals and supports clients' efforts toward self-sufficiency.

Our Adult Outpatient Programs (Areta Crowell Wellness Recovery Center, Douglas Young Wellness Recovery Center, Heartland Wellness Recovery Center, Jane Westin Center, Maria Sardinas Wellness Recovery Center, andSouth Bay Guidance Center) provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, mobile outreach, vocational support, and peer support. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.

All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.

Education : Master's degree in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required

Licensure : Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or Waivered Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology required

Credentialing: If you are applying to this position as a Licensed, Registered, Waivered, or Certified professional and are offered the position, you will be required to complete the credentialing process. Additional information will be provided at the post-offer stage.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

• 2+ years of direct work experience in behavioral health or community-based social services programs
• Training and experience with working with clients with co-occurring disorders; Motivational Interviewing training preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Bilingual Arabic is required for this position
• Able to pass criminal/background clearance

Summary

Meets the bio-psychosocial needs of clients by providing indicated behavioral health services, case management services, and/or crisis intervention. Bills and documents services appropriately. Works with individuals to assist them in accessing appropriate support services and entitlements, medical care, community resources, and family support systems in an effort to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
