Casa Pacifica is seeking a Counselor I for its Oceanside program. This on-site, per diem position requires evening/night shifts and occasional weekends; you will perform initial behavioral health assessments, provide individual, group, and milieu services, and coordinate admissions and discharges to support recovery.
Bachelor's degree in a mental health field is required; 2 years of mental health experience preferred; First Aid/CPR certified; strong organization, ability to work independently,
Hours: Per Diem. Must be available to work 2 shifts per month. Shifts may include days (8:00 am to 4:30 pm), evenings (3:30 pm to Midnight) and overnights (Midnight to 8:00 am) - weekdays and/or weekends. This is an on-site position and requires in-person attendance to perform the essential functions of the job.

Casa Pacifica is a transitional residential program that assists people with chronic mental illness and dual diagnosis to move towards recovery and independent living. It is a Full-Service Partnership and offers clients mental health services including psychiatric care, assistance with medication management, individual and group therapy, vocational assistance, case management, and peer support.
The residential component of the program is 6 to 9 months long and graduates can participate in an alumni program that will assist in their transition to a more independent lifestyle.

Education : Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Meets the bio-psychosocial needs of clients by providing indicated behavioral health services, case management services and/or crisis intervention, and documents services appropriately. Works with individuals to assist them in accessing appropriate support services and entitlements, medical care, community resources, and family support systems in an effort to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
Residential programs are required to be operational 24 hours a day, 365 days per year including all CRF recognized holidays. Given this requirement, employees are expected to work on all CRF recognized holidays depending on staffing needs.
