Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Clinical Trials Financial Analyst II to support feasibility budgets, detailed study budgets, and post-award financial management for industry-sponsored trials and IITs.

The analyst collaborates with CRS, faculty, study teams, and sponsors, handling OnCore CTMS and REDCap workflows, ensuring compliant invoicing and transparent budgeting throughout the study lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of experience in finance, preferably in Phase I-III clinical trials.
• Experience developing complex multi-phase clinical trial budgets and revisions.
• Working knowledge of financial information and related operational statistics.
• Strong Excel calculations and analytical skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication; ability to work independently on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clinical trial staff and study teams to communicate start-up milestones and timelines.
• Review study documentation and Medicare billing rules for insurance billing vs sponsor payments.
• Develop budgets for single and multi-site industry trials and IITs.
• Maintain standard templates for budget development and post-award management.
• Prepare and manage startup documentation across OnCore CTMS, REDCap, and email.
• Review budgets, contracts, payment terms, and billing grids for compliance.
• Monitor monthly labor and non-labor spending on sponsored projects.
• Provide budget-to-actual reporting and suggest process improvements.
• Support financial modeling, forecasting, and ad-hoc analyses.
• Collaborate with central offices, clinic partners, faculty, and sponsors.
