Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Maryland seeks a Training Manager to lead a competency-based clinical training program for Medical Assistants and the broader clinical support team across seven health centers and telehealth operations.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, you will design curricula, supervise Health Center Trainers, and build a robust preceptor network to shorten time-to-competency while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree strongly preferred in adult education, ID, or healthcare admin.
• Experience designing competency-based training and simulations.

Responsibilities

• Design standardized, competency-based training for MAs and clinical staff.
• Lead and develop Health Center Trainers across multiple sites.
• Build and support a site-based preceptor network for onboarding.
• Standardize onboarding with 30/60/90-day milestones and skills matrix.
• Track metrics and update materials for changes in workflows or regs.
• Collaborate with Health Center Managers, HR, Quality and Ops.
