Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology.
• ASCP/BOC MT/MLS or AMT certification pursued within 1 year.
• LC/MS/MS experience is highly desired

Responsabilités

• Performs and monitors laboratory tests per established protocols and adjusts workflow to complete work on time.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports per policy.
• Calibrates, maintains, and repairs instruments; identifies malfunctions and corrects as needed.
• Conducts quality control and quality assurance activities to improve procedures.
• Ensures proper labeling and collection of specimens from newborn to adult patients.
• Provides training and competency reviews for staff and students.
• Supports CAP regulatory requirements and compliance in an acute setting.
• Performs proficiency testing and specialty testing across transfusion, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, histology, coagulation and flow cytometry.
• Supports critical care departments with timely, accurate results during high-acuity events.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient care needs and adapts to patient requirements.
